1 cup whole grain type sugar
1/3 cup water
Sprinkle of "pie seasoning" spice.
Pinch chili powder
2t beef lard
1 Two Buck can of Spanish peanuts
Instruction:
10" frying pan. Heat sugar water and lard on medium,stir and keep stirring, and high heat till it starts to " crack" add other stuff peanuts stir.
Just coat the baking sheet with cooking oil, and pour it out on there and separate it with spatula and flatten it .
Never get this hot stuff on your skin because it sticks and burns.
It bonded with my wax paper! Ouch. But flavor is good.
I would add some fresh ground flax seed to it, or wheat or oat bran. To dissipate the harness, perhaps make it less of a tooth cracker. Something like that.
Is it better than what is on the store shelf? Of course it is! What do you take me for?
