All of this is conjecture and likely wrong facted.
Apparently not.
I can't keep figures in my head. But Rome started 1500bc. And crucified from 100 BC to 400 ad. Give or take a couple hundred years each way.
Western Rome fell ad 476. Eastern Rome fell 15 cent ad. (And that is interesting. Considering Moore's ruled Europe, 700 ad to 1400 ad.
So they say Rome inherited crucifixion from the Phoenicians who they annexed?
But who were the Phoenicians? They lived on the long coastline north of Israel and are said to have been a SEMETIC tribe.

But why did the Phoenicians start it and what leader of theirs did?
When I read the Bible I thought the Romans came from the South to concur Israel? And that Jesus was more from the North of Israel where Crucifixion I thought was unknown and unknown to him.
And the Romans liked to crucify Christians. How we ever get Roman Catholic Church out of that? My memory is not so good.
Purpose of this writing? Rome with all its inventions; crucifixion doesn't seem to jive with that.
So who first started it and why will be a research topic to do.

And I am sick and tired of UFC. And the idea Mr T is expanding a wh room and might have such events there. If I were Pres I would nix it in this country. And nix it quick. (Sounds like song lyrics)
