In theory if you were hunting prehistoric beasts such as small dinosaurs you might create a structure like this?
Whereby,
1. Once the beast is in the center the gestalt of the stones might appear like teeth from a giant animal, and hence you facilitate that beast going into shock sooner?
2. A bait could be left in the center of the stones whereby the stones could also allow for netting to be raised on them in order to capture and kill such beast more easily.
3. You could have men hiding behind the stones with spears whereby once the beast is centered the stones provide a shield to the spear thrower?
Did you ever conceptualize how early "man" might encounter dinosaur creatures and have to kill them?
