Does an action already need to be codified in law to be an action of treason?
I would say no.
There are very very clever criminals. And technology is changing and advancing very quickly.
And there is also intent in the law. And there is also weight of evidence in the law.
"You should have known very well that this was a result of your actions and consistent with the bad intent of your actions." For example when you have a Finance type of person attempting to bankrupt our nation? Or when you have players in the financial industry who collude to bankrupt our nation so that a new form of Government seems like it is required to arise?
And in terms of Socialists? Could it be that Socialists themselves would defy our form of government, lie cheat and steal for the sole and express purpose of bringing down Capitalism?
So just because a clever criminal thinks he is not breaking any known laws does not mean that he cannot be prosecuted and legally executed for treason. And any accomplices too!
PS. Is it enough for someone to boldy say that they are attempting to transition our form of government away from what it is and also eliminate two requirements for President?
