They give you a reason. It isn't usually the real reason but it sounds like a real reason.
And they don't really need a reason at all. But they have a reason, or they would not be firing you.
And you likely know if there is a personality conflict already.
And they will give you a severance package which is a little more because you agreed not to talk about it. But the amount they are giving you is the amount they should have been giving you anyway.
But do you know what it might be said to amount to? Bad blood?
And if they want to fire you they won't. They will make your life a living hell and suck as much out of it as they can. Hence you are that fully depreciated human asset.
This behavior is that of someone that isn't one of us trying to prove something.

Perhaps they had to pay somebody who represents something else more money.
Perhaps they only used you to imprint a beloved zombie or two of their own. That right there be it!
