So someone is poorly behaved. And people just accept it. In fact perhaps they view it as an entitlement. And entitlement of being rich and or powerful? Perhaps they believe that when the talk obnoxiously they are really just expressing their parent's true beliefs so how could they be doing anything wrong?
But in all cases of misbehavior can it be said that they had the human free will to resist that to resist the temptation to misbehave? A very interesting and productive way to think about it.
And so indeed the importance of teaching good behavior instills the ability of someone to resist temptation.
When you can't resist temptation are you more likely to be fated to a life of self destruction? I would say so.
Temptation to do what? I don't know.
1. Be conned by a con artist.
2. Marry someone that doesn't love you.
3. Use drugs that are going to make you mentally retarded.
4. Get a deadly sexually transmitted disease.
5. End up homeless because no one will hire you because you are a terrible person.
6. Drive to fast and end up burning to death in the ditch.
Will your personal relationships fail if you continually can not resist the temptation to say rude things to people? And one might say, well they are both that way? A man and a wife. And you would counter, what kind of a life do they really have?
What is the true source of happiness of someone who can't resist temptation? What does someone like that want the world to be? How do they want to transition the world into complying with their weak will? With their weak mind. And you indeed might be tempted to believe that someone who speaks like that is strong minded? And I might say, how quickly do they fall when someone can easily pinpoint their personal weaknesses, their stupidity? Pretty quickly. And of course then they go right for the substances of false reward system.
And one would ask, why reward their bad behavior in the first place? Because it is a projection of self pity. It is a projection of haplessness.
Get it?
The United States home of the brave land of the free.
So the moral is you are not doing someone a favor when you fail to correct their bad behavior.
