So let's say that you want to park your car on the street.
But you want to be as close to the curb without touching it.
Nor do you want to scrape your tire or rim on the curb while parking.
They can invent a car that can drive itself and you straight off a cliff, but they can't invent one ot two things to accomplish the above.
1. A means, perhaps
A. a bar with a hand like feature, to open the passenger side door from the driver's side. Some means by which to mechanically facilitate that without too much added technology.
B. Perhaps a switch that can open and close the passenger's side door by six inches so you can see the curb.
2. A camera that sits right there below the passenger side and has a calibrated display that tells you exactly how many inches away from the curb you are. (IDK maybe they have stuff like this already
But why do you want to be close to the curb? So that a Kookamonga driver doesn't come by and sideswipe the car that you kept in mint condition that the insurance company will never fully reimburse you for the value of. And right there, gd it, look at how responsibility is non valued.
And because you could get a ticket for the same reason, you parked too far away and created a nuisance. I don't know how they word it. 8" Away from curb?
And they had to change that already didn't they. They had all these rich lady's with SUV's full of spoiled brats that could never be allowed to sit closely together, hence they "needed" the SUV? That isn't what they "needed" they needed to be told off so good that they were put in their place once and for all for all time! (What I am getting at with the SUV comment is that they painted brackets away from the curb that allow for SUVs. Whereby your smaller car can be far away from the curb and if it is still in the bracket it is okay? Don't quote me on that. Kookamonga doesn't think like you and I do!
Ask yourself what is really important in our Country? Propping up someone with Aspergers to be the richest person in the world? For all his design ingenuity can we expect a car to be shaped like a Pumpkin Shell coming out? Whereby a rich person who is defeating antipolygamy law buys one for each of his women? Parks it wherever he wants, on your front lawn. Parks his gd pumpkin shell of a car right on your gd front lawn. If indeed the Kookamonga driver doesn't drive right into your house and render the support structure of it a total loss.
There is no level of insurance that truly compensates the good American public for Kookamonga.

Ps. if you have a right hand controlled side mirror you can use it and point it downward to see the curb with it, but it doesn't give you a good "look."
