If no one else in the workplace can get any work done because you are working then you are not really contributing to our democracy.
I would also say that if you hired a great many people to work for you but a lot of them ended up disabled; you also are not contributing to our democracy.

I like the stock market. However you have a large industry right in the center of our democracy that trades against the very public who in confidence has their money with them.
And because of that I have to wonder how many bright eyed careers were "caught and killed" by it. Sons and daughters of the free and the brave end up in that counter democracy culture?
And perhaps the same goes for "Education." If in order to educate someone you have to "lent" out the soul of another person what have you really accomplished?
And there is a good topic, "What have you really accomplished?"

Life has a way of leveling down those with a false reward system on its own. Probably the way it works the best is alcohol? And it also destroys so many good lives. Have some success in life and what is the first thing you are conditioned to do? Drink and initiate a phase of mental retardation? Get married and what is the first thing you do? Drink and conceive a mentally retarded child because of it?
How many people with diabetes have it because alcohol destroyed their pancreas?
