Musk is promising massive cuts in red tape. But Trump's agenda could add regulations elsewhere.
"In some form increased GDP is waste. For example pumping out more cars that are not built to last, it increases GDP, but it is really economic waste. You will never have keen minds in office that can ferret that aspect out of our economy. You will never have statistics that show the real cost of living. And that is what is needed. You will never have statistics that point out how much political spending is really just recycling of money. What is a recycled dollar worth to you, if not nothing?"
"Perhaps instead of tariffs on imports take a two prong approach on currency value. 1. Eliminate trading of currency. 2. Set the exchange rate to be how much an American who didn't speak "chinese" would have the price of goods they purchase marked up if they were visiting China. And use that same mechanism to set every currency exchange rate. And perhaps sent a person of color into a country that might be racist, and see how far their money goes. And disadvantage that foreign currency based on that."
