Did not the Romans mock him at his death? ~"Where is your God Elijah now to save you?"
But Elijah through the wicked whorish Jezebel to be devoured by wild dogs.
Whereas Jesus stepped in and said that the whore should not be stoned?
Just an interesting point to ponder.
*****'
I don't know the answer to that.
But in the Bible someone stood up for Jesus and said that he was not duplicitous.
However when asked why Jesus spoke in parables, Jesus replied that some things about religion are secret?
And so back that religion and state where unified weren't they. Roman Emperors believing themselves to be Gods.
But in our Country today, isn't it like every time you here a secret can't be revealed because of national security...don't you immediately think that's is crooked? Like the inquiry of the Kennedy assassination being locked up for 40 years? There is no reason they should not tell us? Get it?
So when Jesus implied there are secrets to religion...is that not really duplicitous?
You go to church or Catholic School and you believe that you are openly being taught everything. And that everything is good and holy?
Is what is being kept a secret, good and holy? Not likely. From the history of the Church, not very likely at all.
