But that oval shape that geometrically fits inside a rectangle ought to have a specific name. What is it called? A rectoval?
It may generally be called an ellipse?
But perhaps it isn't.
This shape "B" is two "beamed" half circles.
The gestalt of the image might be an open consuming mouth coming at you?

But a circle is always geometric to a square.
I will have to do some research. Because an oval doesn't do it justice. Perhaps I learned it in grade school and forgot?
They are called "stadium headlights".

A spheroid is a sphere (circle) that isn't perfect. In the diagrams I see it looks elastically stretched. Hence no segments of the line that forms it could be " completed" to form a true circle. That is not the case with diagram "B".
