Changing the Christian Mass Ceremony 02 05 2021
After the Priest holds the chalice of wine high above his head...after he say's blood of Christ...
I would like to hear him say something to the effect of,
"We do not want you to view this element of Communion as being in support of alcoholism. We do not want your children to view this alcohol as being an every day drink the consumption of which makes one more mature." And perhaps something to the effect of, "We do not support the idea of frequent drinking to the point of meeting the definition of alcoholism."
And perhaps list some of the dangers of alcohol. How it wrecks FAMILIES! How it ruins lives. How it leads to violent and irresponsible behavior. How it is a gateway drug to other drugs. How it causes a multitude of genetic birth defects. How it causes low grades. How it causes one to drop out of school. How it causes anxiety due to the deprivation of oxygen to the brain? How it causes unwanted pregnancies that are also likely birth defective? Etc etc
Perhaps an unmarried couple is drunk she gets pregnant, they get married, then divorced...its a broken family.
Why can't we put forth ideas that prevent families from being broken? Where is the real righteousness in support of that? Why doesn't it exist? How come no one considers that the children of those families have a hard time in life? How come we don't have leaders who know when to put their foot down on the right issues? Where is the courage to do the right thing?
Why are they so weak that they can't even get the issues right?
And look at the above? Isn't that how the fabric of organized crime is formed? Networking of alcoholics? What can I say, it isn't something I believe in. I don't believe in the validity of Networking of Alcoholics. That isn't good for our country. It is indefensible.
Are you a mature adult. And what conclusion do you come to after reading the above? It is one of those questions that is like a steel trap isn't it.
