I had a lot of trepidation about making this. Haven't had it in at least 35 years. My Bohemian Grandmother made. Caught the Rabbits in a cage in her back yard. Swung them around by the back of the head area somewhere and broke their necks. Skinned them..
Photo: Post microwave, b4 cooked.
Bought it his one for $12 and change.
Thawed in microwave on defrost setting, 5 minutes at a time and turning so not to cook. Perhaps 15-20 minutes.
Got a pot of water boiling on the stove top with two teaspoons of salt in it. Put thawed Rabbit 🐇 in, pushed it down, made sure had water covering it. Added water while it cooked too.
Boiled for a while them turned heat down low for about 4 hours.
At end brought back up the heat then took off burner and added 1/4 cup white vinegar, ~1 cup half and half, teaspoon black peppercorns, 4 bay leaves, 4 teaspoon reg white flower.
Served with boiled potatoes cooked separate.
Really good
