You might ask yourself, what is it about reality that makes them so unhappy? (In comparison level.)
You might ask yourself, how are they being untrue to themselves? Is that beneficial or detrimental to them? If detrimental can you see a future point where it will be realized by them in jeopardy?
At what age in adulthood will they be confronted with a maturity issue they cannot handle?
Does God want to admit a soul 8nto heaven that is happiest when it is drunk? The answer to that is, contrary to what Jesus would have you believe, God isn't a bartender.
