"Wooden eyeglass cases" to see what somebody has already made and therefore what you might be inspired to make too, for yourself.
I see some tube shaped, some clam shell types, some rectangular boxes, some carved out like how wooden shoes or native American canoes are made. Some lengthwise sliding drawer ones. And some with laminate and inlay features. See image search link: =>
Ideally to use thin scrap wood you already have in order to be environmentally resourceful and conservative.
