So in terms of keeping your children safe around fireworks, if I had children I would tell them something like this...
If you think that a friend is not being safe with fireworks trust yourself and not that friend.
The point here being don't let your children get drawn into bad leadership situations?
Your child likely comes from a family whereby passed down knowledge is true. Versus that child who is unsafe with fireworks. There is a big difference.
Your child might believe that all children come from a family whereby knowledge is truth and hence they are drawn into a dangerous situation with fireworks by a friend who doesn't come from a family like that.
Your child might not know that people like that exist? People who can't be trusted because ...they don't come from a family whereby knowledge is true.
And I believe it is important and relevant to mention. And it might indeed apply to other bad or tempting situations that your child gets into.
And perhaps it is also something you as an adult need to think about when you put your trust in other adults. Does that adult come from a family whereby knowledge is true.

And sure, somewhat, we can be a melting pot type country. Whereby knowledge is true and it raises everyone up. But what happens when we are overwhelmed with people who come from families whereby that isn't true?
You have to draw the line somewhere, right?
