You gave money to a Democrat 10 08 2021
So a Democrat who as a candidate for United States President announces that he is no longer going to be a Democrat.
This brings up a very good topic in the now world of liberal Campaign Finance Law.
Say you gave money to a Democrat and they now say that they are going to be a Republican. All well and good one has the right to change their mind. However they procured your money by making a representation and they were not true to that representation.
Hence, I think you should be able to get that money back.
Donald Trump promised again and again he would build a wall. A men knows that before he makes a promise he has to have the means and ability to fulfill that promise. Meaning he has to think out how that is going to be able to happen! Planning. Donald Trump didn't build that wall. But you gave him money based on that promise. And it was a Promise. Saying you are going to do something is a promise. So should Republicans be able to get the money back that they donated to Donald Trump?
Now lets use and extreme end of the spectrum example. You have a man who makes promises to Democrats as a Democrat, receives money in donation. Then he becomes a Republican and does the same thing. Then he becomes a Libertarian and does the same thing. Then he is a Green Peace guy. Then he represents the LGBTQ Party for President of the United States. etc. etc.
And they all get rich in the process. Just by the process. I don't believe that is right and fair. I don't believe that is consistent with our Constitution. I don't believe in people like that.

And forget about all that. Lets just say you have a fickle minded President that contradicts himself left and right. Promising one thing to one group and the exact opposite to the other group. Both groups give him money. He doesn't fulfill either promise. Everyone should get their money back. Because he is Fickleminded.
