Lets look at what could be thought to be two general types of automobile wheel rim styles. A closed face and an open face with spokes or other open/hole ornamental features.
Are there certain designs of open faced wheel rims that create a convection air current around the wheel bearing that lead to more oxidation of the bearing quicker?
And two, are there certain designs of well say either open faced or closed face wheel rims that lead to more water or water vapor coming into contact with the bearing area?
I wonder if studies have ever been done on this? There are some cars that are known to have premature bearing failure, and the Police Force ditched using that "Style."
But indeed could it be generally thought that perhaps a closed faced wheel rim might help the bearing last longer because there is less lateral movement of air over the general bearing area, thereby creating less oxidation effect? Or perhaps it works the other way, the vents create a stasis of air area?

I want to talk about Gasoline Direct Injection engines and perhaps the fuel pressure relief port being used to apply injector cleaner more efficiently? Do the dealerships successfully utilize such a method? I don't know. I worked with some mechanics once and they were drunken low lifes. I doubt it is much different today anywhere. But perhaps that is why you have to pay them so much? A tiny monopoly of talent that shouldn't exist?
And they do indeed say that one of the worst detriments to personal wealth is paying to have that darn car fixed. And perhaps it is true that those who have all the money to have their cars new and running really have nowhere to go. Because going somewhere either separates them from their soul or they are going somewhere in search of a soul that isn't theirs; hence they have no legitimate right to go anywhere.
