Breakfast 12 29 2020


Ingredients:
 
1 egg
7/8 cup water
~t Vanilla Extract
1 T Apple Sauce
Pinch 5 spice chinese powder
Pinch Cinnamon
Pinch salt
1 T Sunflower seed oil

~1/8 cup barley flour
~1/8 cup whole wheat flour
~3/4 cup all purpose flour
~1 1/2 T ground flax seed

The key to making waffles is to give the waffle maker time to do its job.  Let it heat up first. Be patient and don't open the lid early.  

Mix the first group of ingredients vigorously with a whisk.  If you think I am getting out any electric blender for breakfast you got a screw loose.  Add the second group of ingredients and whisk vigorously.  If you think I am adding baking powder you got a screw loose.

Now take a look at your batter.  If it seems thick put it under the faucet and add water and whisk.

Ladle the batter into your waffle iron and quickly even it out.  Shut the lid and wait.  Or clean up some kitchen stuff while waiting.

These waffles are better than anything that comes out of any box.
