It would be hard to statistically quantify?
But did you ever notice this factor with regard to a teams success rate?
"Do the players act maturely in a competitive environment?"
Or, "Is this person competing like an adult?"
I just happened to notice that a winning team in prof sports has a player leader who competes in a mature manner! And expresses themselves in a mature manner.
So lets say you have one team that is that way and consistently wins. What does it mean with regard to all the other teams? It hints at a certain illegitimacy?
Now as an adult, who do you root for?
I like the team that competes maturely and wins. It has a certain "right" feeling about it. A certain goodness to it. A certain "the way it should be" to it.
But again, it is really entertainment! And antics sell tickets?
But let's say your home team is "mouthy", do you go along with it? Or do you tune the channel away from that one?
How do they celebrate success? Do they attribute their failures to themselves? As in, didn't work hard enough to create the most competitive skill level?
And what does the coaching staff value and condone?
