My commentary:
In principle I agree with eliminating the middle men. And I don't believe that industry serves a purpose with the kinds of people who have gravitated to be employed there and control such ops. But I believe that no matter what the right treatment is for a specific condition, every citizen should be treated fairly and receive. Yes, we have to drain the profit out of health care with an iron fist. And no, doing so will not lead to less innovative treatments. Rather a rise of the healthy.
