John 3:16
“And so God loved the world that he gave us his one and only son.”
So indeed that views a son as property? Something to give to people? Something for people to use?
So if God did indeed that his son did not belong to him but instead to the people...would you not think that he would expect the people to take good care of his only son?
And if God viewed his son and his property to give then at the age of adulthood would not that son be granted freedom? Should not that son be granted freedom at the age of adulthood?
So if God didn't really care about his only son what did he care about? If you don't care about your only son? I suppose you would have to have come from a nuclear family to understand it. You can't be some kid who was raised by his mother in the core? And look at the gestalt of that. That son views a father figure differently than a son from a nuclear family views his father. That son from a broken family might even think that someone declared an only son of god belongs to him in some understanding of property to him? And you have to know that isn't right too? Don't you?
And I thank my only son for teaching humanity right from wrong?
And what is the significance of “Only son”? Does it really mean that you can absolve your conscience if you are a Roman and giving that son of God all of your pain and suffering. Giving him a crown of thorns, stabbing him in the liver, driving nails through his flesh and bones? “Don't worry, there will be no retribution for these actions. There will be no retribution from God, for these actions?”
I mean, not only is John 3:16 a lie, it is a sick lie. It is not the word of God. And nor is it spoken in the first person word of God, like The Ten Commandments are which predate it. One of which is, “Thou shall not kill.” Which also means, though shall not nail someone to a cross and watch them slowly die.

And so the Dead Sea Scrolls tell of a tribe who raised their children by an evil master that was juxtaposed against an exiled priest. John 3:16 is more in line with what an evil master would tell those children isn't it!
There is also an element of, “You don't need to have a soul.” in this isn't there!
