Christmas Season 12 14 2025

So I once read the Romans used belladonna to poison people so that they could not remember anything.

The term only came up as I was researching a type of very nice holiday gift that is a flower bulb in wax.

But I have to wonder if they attempted to dope Jesus Christ with it?  We know a faction of people absolutely hated him and the bible tells us that they tried to kill him many times.

So too did they attempt to corrupt his word?  Disable his working memory in an attempt to use him to discredit himself.  Or rather a term he was using was (but not known to be in the context of him and this issue, "to bear false witness against one of.". But it indicates that to bear false witness against oneself was of concern of interest.

And hence do you ever ask yourself, has so and so just beared false witness against themselves with regard to their belief in our Constitution, country and human freedom?

Do you say, that might be part of their general bamboozling?  They don't see anything wrong with it.

*****'

Stop the presses!  I almost missed something.  I read on The Wikipedia entry that plant was originally cultivated in Africa.  Would that mean the Romans got it from Africa?  Then you ask if that plant was used in voodoo (voodoo witchcraft) ceremonies with real scientifically proven brain poisoning results?  And hence was that knowledge sought by the Romans and shared with them?

And all of this is pure conjecture.  My working memory ain't so good either so I may have mismatched material terms in this.  I will have to check.

Can you imagine being so hateful of human beings intellect that you would poison their memory function?
