Whereby someone doesn't like the connotation or how the accurate label with regard to them is viewed by the public.
Hence they seek to avoid that truth by saying that they really fall under a much broader characterization.
A broad acronym of inclusiveness.
A sense of family! It gives them a sense of family!
And whether you want to openly admit it or not there is a lot of undo power in a sense of networked family.
There is a bit of fraud to it to, isn't there. I am not really the individual meaning of what I am, instead I am part of a collection of such people. And because there are so many of us it means that we are the normality. And because we are the normality we deserve rights and privileges and benefits you would never dream of before.
It is a group identity.
Fascism too, is a group identity.
Organized crime is a group identity. But organized crime is one of the worse instances of racism in our country. Comparable to British Government whereby ostensible and for certain only family bloodline can be in leadership positions?
And what do Republicans attempt to establish? We saw it with the Bush family? A family line represents our political party best? And we see it with Trump too. Which one of your offspring would best follow in your footsteps of political ambition your fake news that works for him asks?

And here is one you will never understand. Watch closely as their expression changes when they are asked an important question. As if that weak personality is drawing strength from a thug or floozy from their life experience? The voice gets weaker or dumber sounding? Perhaps you will hear it best in a video clip where one says, "I can pardon anyone I want to."
