So caramel as you know is made by heating sugar in a pan with butter. The sugar browns and that is the essence of caramel.
But what about Caramel Coloring? It is essentially the same thing, heated and almost burnt sugar. In the case of diet soda's however it is heated and burnt one of these? "Caramel color is produced from commercially available nutritive sweeteners consisting of fructose, dextrose (glucose), invert sugar, sucrose, malt syrup, molasses, starch hydrolysates and fractions thereof. " https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caramel_color
But it isn't burnt because their is no flame involved to dissipate that energy. So what is it really? A highly concentrated sugar? Just as alcohol is in effect, per the way your body uses it, a highly concentrated sugar?
Do you feel like you have been taken in by a snake oil salesmen when you learn that they had to add caramel coloring to your food to make it more appealing to you?
And it is added to a great many foods that you would never suspect it is in! Caramel coloring is added to beer and whiskey! It is added to bread!
Per Wikipedia: "commercially produced foods and beverages, including batters, beer, brown bread, buns, chocolate, cookies, cough drops, spirits and liquor such as brandy, rum, and whisky, chocolate-flavored confectionery and coatings, custards, decorations, fillings and toppings, potato chips, dessert mixes, doughnuts, fish and shellfish spreads, frozen desserts, fruit preserves, glucose tablets, gravy, ice cream, pickles, sauces and dressings, soft drinks (especially colas), sweets, vinegar, and more. "
This is the 21st Century! There is no valid reason for it to be in there! There is no valid reason to disguise foods! I like that I'll say it again. "There is no valid reason to disguise foods!" It amounts to fraud in the food industry! It makes the food look to be a higher grade than it is? It makes the food look to be more cooked than it really is? It makes the food to look more premium than it is?
The Bible tells us that people used to live to be hundreds of years old. Caramel coloring can not be good for your Kidney's LONG TERM! I assert that it must reduce human longevity for that very reason.
Who is it among us that doesn't use their tongue to taste but instead their eyes! Think about that one for a while. What gestalt of the beast forms in your mind?
It cannot be good for the bones and joints! I can not!
