High Plains Drifter- Dependency of Satan- Nature of Evil 02 07 2011
The movie High Plains drifter said it best. They are dependent minded and irresponsible but loathe to admit it until they face great danger. Who do they then have to rely on? A homeless person! Someone whose soul they stole or were raised on. But he left the town or a town to live on his own and they went back to their mediocrity of thought. The Savior was a Homeless Person! Someone who the movie alluded to as being beaten to near death by presumably good townsfolk.
Don’t think we don’t know!
You can try and reinterpret the theme of that movie all you want but that is indeed what it meant. That your salvation ultimately was dependent on someone you tortured. Some high plains drifters might have kept on riding into the sunset and you would not survive.
Who would there be to save the United States when God was no longer with it and its inherently cowardly townspeople were overpowered.
