If you couldn't make it through the 8th grade and learn on your own you would be deemed unable to contribute to a meritocracy.
All of my problems would go away in a meritocracy; I doubt there would be any element left at all to cause people to hear voices. No reason to keep a human being up at night for a year or more until they either die or take vondoon psychiatry drugs.
