Dollars Per Point 02 14 2023

I don't know what this is or meant to be.  Just something I was thinking about.  A lot of people think about how to strike it rich.  Whether it be panning for gold, gambling, singing, a great career, the lottery, etc.  So perhaps it is about that.  And these are the best of the best.

Dollars Per Point

Basketball: Giannis 228million over 5 years. Lets take the 2021 season as the basis. He scored 1717 points. Put that amount to 5 years and you get 8585 points.

61 games.

That is $26,557.94 per point. Could add post season to.

634 points post season. 2351 points for the full winning season. Times 5 =11755

228m/11755=$19,396 per point. $38,792 per regular 2 point basket.

82 games. 28.6 ppg or $556,097 per game. It adds up quickly!

Giannis Antetokounmpo Stats: NBA Career Totals by Year (landofbasketball.com)

Football: Patrick Mahomes 10 years 450 million dollars.

41 Touchdown passes in 2022-2023 season. That is 246 points. Somebody else has to make the field goals as it were. So lets say he scores that many every year for 10 years. That would be 2460 points over ten years. $182,926.oo dollars per point. Or $1,097,560.92 per touchdown.

Baseball: Max Sherzer $43.33million for the 2022 season.

Scored no points at all! Max Scherzer 2022 Game by Game Batting Logs (baseball-almanac.com)

So lets lie. Lets give max one point. And say he earned 43.33 million for scoring one run.

So how does that compare to acting? I think acting is worse. Because they are pretending?

And don't take offense to any of this. Not meant to be. Just my thinking which is in a different perspective. When I was a boy being paid high amounts for prof sports was just coming into being. I had no desire for it. Seemed like it didn't really contribute anything to the country or like it wasn't like work?

And these are just fast math, cuffing the numbers and there could be mistakes.
