If you find that your dishes are not coming out clean this is a good video to reference how your dishwasher should work when it is working properly. When my dishwasher does not sound like this it has meant that the filter near the chopper screen in the basin needs to be cleaned. And that is all that is needed along with cleaning the soap scum off the parts to get to it. There are videos on how to do that. But basically the tool that you will need is a "Torx" screwdriver with two different sized bits. I believe a T15 and a T20 for this model dishwasher. And there is a total of 6 screws to remove to get to that chopper screen. If you are mechanically inclined it could be a one hour job. Again, if your dishwasher does not sound like this, it doesn't always mean that it needs to be completely replaced. That metal screen accumulates fine hairs and grease and soap scum etc. It is about the size of a Dollar Coin. And when it is clogged the pump cannot pump as well. When the pump can not pump as well then the spinning water disperses can not spin and disperse water because they run entirely on that pumped water pressure to do that! When that filter is clogged you will not hear the water splashing around like you hear in this video. And you should know your own limitations. Thomas Paul Murphy
