Chicago and Gun Control 09 19 2018

Chicago and Gun Control 09 19 2018

Chicago and Illinois have some of the most stringent and restrictive Gun Control Laws in the Country.  But what did I read in the Newspaper the other day?  That Two Police Officers, not in uniform, were caught robbing a gas station at gun point.

You can't make a better case for the true meaning of the Second Amendment than that!  That is exactly what the Founding Fathers knew would happen!  That is exactly what they feared.  And that is exactly why our Second Amendment is written exactly as it is!

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

Take away the guns of the people and those who took the guns away then further victimize those very people!

And indeed there were some Acts that have been created that facilitate just what happened in Chicago!  And they should be struck down as Unconstitutional.

So how do you address what happened above?  Clearly two Police Officers that betrayed the public trust, and robbed a store at gunpoint, should not be allowed to own guns.   Should they be in prison for the rest of their lives?  Should they be put on trial and executed for Treason?  Again under one of those Acts that was created it could be a crime for me just to mention something like that.

It would be very interesting to see whose side the Police Union would take in the matter?  Do you take the side of the Officers that robbed the store at gunpoint?  Or do you take the side of the Officers who risked their lives to apprehend them?  It should be clear to you and me the latter is true.  But it would seem to me that somehow they will remain untouchable?  Very seldom do you see someone that is validly righteous get these issues correct.
