Do family members that have a mentally retarded member feel uncomfortable around normal intelligent people?
Do these family members also feel more comfortable around pets than people?
What are the implications? A motivation to ruin the lives of the normal with drugs?
This would have been a great way to have spent money in academic research. Just a simple study like that. How come no one ever thought of it before?

So the hypothesis that a mentally retarded child puts more stress on a family is supported by research.
Are those family members then more likely to take that stress out unduly on coworkers? On the middle class? It isn't fair is it.
