Ever see a car on the side of the road with one wheel pointing out about 90 degrees?

Ever see a car on the side of the road with one wheel pointing out about 90 degrees?

A while back the car companies switched to steering linkage parts that didn't have grease fittings to add grease to.

So what you are seeing today are accidents caused by that bad decision?

The funny thing is that all the new replacement parts for those parts do have the grease fittings to add grease to as was common on every oil change, about 3,000 miles.

And your owners manual will state that they will need to be greased at perhaps 40,000 miles, even though there is no way to do it.

At the very least the auto companies could have put a threaded hole where the grease fitting is supposed to be and put a machine screw in it so when that time comes you could add the grease fitting.

But they didn't do that.  And what is happening is that those cars are being driven to accident failure.

And you have and have had bad kings for President?  What does it mean to maintain a Republic form of Government to the Republicans?  It means you put a bad person in office.  It is equating to mean the exact opposite of what it is supposed to mean.  What is a bad king today?  A paranoid sycophant to the rich.

The wealthy didn't want their mentally defective children crawling under cars to work on them did they!  Just buy them a new one!

Interesting other takes on the issue.

The issue might be this.  The OEM's have a nylon "bearing" inside.  They are not metal to metal contact.  It lasts longer?  However you can't pneumatically force grease in a joint like that because that plastic fitting could be displaced and that would be catastrophic too?

But the question then becomes, again, if they are greaseless fittings why does it say to grease them?  To me a misnomer is a lie.  A lie is fraud.  It really doesn't matter what the perpetrator tells you or if they had good intent, it is still a lie and fraud and dangerous.   The same principal holds true of Doctors not being liable to you if they don't tell you the truth or omit telling you something important.  Again, if they can't get the simplicity of that right they shouldn't be in that position or in this nation.  A third world nation is best for people of that caliber.  The Bible states it best, "And those who were left behind were weeping and gritting their teeth."

So the question then becomes, "Why can't they engineer a best of both worlds technology?"
