Inventions Needed: A Kiosk CD Printer
A company like Coinstar needs to partner with a music industry
partner like CD Baby.
What we need is a Kiosk music CD printer that burns the CD,
two Square labels and shoots them out the slots with a case.
Background: One
impediment to the small musician is the burning and printing of CD’s to sell at
stores. A musician would have a special
card with a magnetic strip like a credit card that would allow him to have the
CD’s created for a small price over the actual cost of production such as 25 or
75 cents.
Regular customers who are not musicians would purchase CD’s
from the machine at the regular retail price.
The CD machine could have more than one burner in it so that
the Musician could burn as many as 10 at a time. And maybe it would cost the musician the cost
of the disc, and the label and the ink plus the increment above.
These machines could be placed out of big box retail stores
much like soda machines or more likely in the lobby.
