As I spoke to the man from the credit card company I coughed and then I said to him, "I don't smoke, but how quickly we could pay down our national debt if people did not spend that money on tobacco! Tobacco and alcohol- if people couldn't spend their money on that how quickly could we pay down our national debt. What a non-educated politician would do would be to add up the yearly revenue of the Alcohol and Tobacco companies and then tell us that it would not be enough. I said non-educated because an educated person would realize that there would be tremendous benefits and synergies created if this were done that would indeed lead to the debt being paid down faster than what a non-educated politician would assume for the rest of us.
