The study at the link above uses terms like multivariate factors when really it should just be flat out saying "What is that dumb kid going to do next!"
And I can see how that increased stress might motivate those parents or family members to be more likely to engage in criminal behavior!
Something about a lower standard being validated for them as normality as the cause of the transference motivation to crime. That and the fermenting of sour grapes!
