The secret to good Mostaccolli is to first cut up an onion. Place the cut up onion in very hot tap water.
Then after awhile, drain that onion flavored water into the pot you cook the Mostaccolli noodles in and turn on the heat.
Cook the noodles to your preference. And then add sauce you cooked in another pot with the onions to each plate!
It is much better this way!

And I am not sure what the correct spelling of Mostaccolli is, but don't let that discount the recipe tip.
