The .22 Long Rifle

The .22 Long Rifle

There used to be rifle teams in high school.  We used the .22 Long Rifle.

Now there aren't any rifle teams in high school and you cannot find a .22 Long Rifle bullet for sale online!

Read what is says on my Expert Marksman Medal

The fine print on the lower part of the circle says:

"FOR THE PROMOTION OF RIFLE PRACTICE"

(Now that is all I wanted to write, but the tail of the zealot started in here:  It is one of those things you should notice happening in your life and do your best to prevent; from acting on impulse.  But I relay to you the following anyway.)

It doesn't say for whiskey Hank and his sons first day deer hunting.  It doesn't say for Leroy the drug dealer to have on hand.  It doesn't say for Tony and Sons.  It doesn't read Neo Tea Party!  It doesn't read this is a Harry Planter award.  It doesn't read in favor of scalpers or Canaanite practice!  It doesn't read, supported by the Pro Life movement.  It doesn't read SPECIAL rights.  It doesn't say for the promotion of Corporate Security.  It doesn't say in order to support pot smokers rights.  It doesn't read to secure the rights so that we can pass the buck on environmental regulation.  It doesn't read for Down's Syndrome practice and equivalency.  Etc!  It doesn't read for the enforcement of the rights to inbreed.

What am I getting at?  Responsible use and teaching as a matter of choice and Constitutional right versus the me too's!  It was a legitimate sport for sons of responsible fathers!

The point of this is that now everybody wants it and yet we can't even have legitimate high school rifle teams because those who want it today would be kicked off for the inability to maintain firearm safety!
