One can not begin to imagine the tremendous burden of guilt a mother of a child born with mental retardation bears (from her or the biological fathers alcohol use) 02 10 2015
I don't believe a woman could face more emotional pain and trauma in life than that! It must overwhelm every aspect of her life and her thinking!
Let me give you a little example. Did you ever act spoiled as a child and your mother told you, "The world doesn't revolve around you!" at it sobered you up from being spoiled.
It can never be the case with the mother of a mentally retarded child can it! Because that child will require constant attention! Indeed to that mentally retarded child and the mother the world does revolve around it! (A metaphor for needing constant attention for the beer town illiterate!)
