INVENTIONS NEEDED POST HOT WATER HEATER FILTER 03 07 2013
Background: What most Americans do not know is that water coming from their hot water heater has metal in it from the anode in the hot water heater. This can either be magnesium or aluminum.
The anode is there to save the life of the hot water heater by sacrificing itself to the oxygen in the water before it rusts the metal in the hot water heater.
That is why a filter post the hot water heater is needed.
I have not found a technology or system to do that available to the consumer.
And just like everyone argued that cigarettes do not pose a health hazard they also argue that Aluminum does not cause Alzheimer's.
The filter container would have to be made out of metal and the filter itself would have to be one that did not boil apart in contact with the hot water.
It would be very easy to put a larger diameter section of pipe in the water line of the hot water heater to comprise the holding place for such filter. For example one person could design the canister using off the shelf components and cut to order larger diameter pipes at the plumbing store. The hard part of the idea and the challenge is therefore the filter itself.
One would have to query filter companies to see if the y did indeed make a filter that could withstand hot water.
When you turn on the tap even if you are turning on cold water you will still get some of the metal in your glass from the time you turned on the hot water.
The solution is to have a filter just past the hot water heater.
