Product Review Teas 04 01 2014

Trader Joe's Black Breakfast Tea is so good that you might consider it an alternative to alcohol based drinks!  It has that strong a flavor!

To the contrary Bigelow Plantation mint used to be my very favorite tea!  I drank it all the time during college and it made me very sharp!  In fact I liked it so much that I couldn't find it on the store shelves for awhile.  Now the other day I purchased a box of it and there was something wrong with it, it had a weedy taste to it that it never had had before, as if a lesser quality strain of mint had been used.  It started to give me an odd headache, as if the blood vessels in my brain were contracting in places they never had before and weren't supposed to,  and after that experience alone I through the whole box of it out!  And I have not gotten that experience with other teas.

I also avoid twig tea from India too.  For some reason that gave me prostatitis or prevented it from healing when I had it a few years back.  But I used to love the flavor of it too!

Now onto coffee.  Diedrich Black Tiger coffee used to be my favorite too!  But they stopped selling it in bags!  And you can only buy it in the K-cups.  I find that it is ground too thin in the K-cups and is therefore hard on my kidneys.

I don't go to coffee shops anymore.  I don't like the atmosphere of dope users in my presence.  And even though you might think that the act of making coffee is a standardized concept in terms of quality it isn't!!!  And that might very well be why a national chain wants to serve alcohol!  That would be one of the largest mistakes this country has ever made.  And if a restaurant is a national franchise then first they must attain the permit on the national level in my humble point of view.  Why?  Because these stores are in nice neighborhoods where previously there was never a tavern nor the trouble that accompanies it!  Children walk by those places on the way to the candy store with the pocket full of change less than a dollar their father gave them.  At least that was how it was when I was a boy.  Here is what will happen to your children.  When I walked from my house to Henry Clay School in Kindergarten the "Door 3" hippies would put us on their shoulders and give us shoulder piggy back rides.  They never sexually molested us or anything like that however times have changed since then.  And I believe that we did have to run to get away from them.

Sometimes I just make my own tea with ginger powder or evodia too; but not too often.  And even though it is good I can not tell you the reason don't make it from scratch more often?  Maybe it is a first thing in the morning convenience thing?  We don't want to have to think about everything right away just the more important things?  That is called focus or planning your day?  If you adopt the mannerisms of highly successful people you are supposed to become successful too?  Until you see the monkey in the big screen TV bracketed high above on your wall eating your lunch and smirking at the American public?  And it was indeed my College Psychology professor who first made the comparison of human beings to monkeys looking out at us from inside a box!
